How many entrepreneurs work at your company? All? Some? None? Guess again!

We often think of an entrepreneur as someone who places passion before profit when launching a small business in order to combine personal interests and talent with the ability to earn a living. In your wildest dreams, don’t you wish every one of your employees thought, acted and performed like an entrepreneur? Open your sleepy eyes and realize that every one of your employees has an entrepreneurial mindset. How can you develop this mindset? Our June 21st luncheon panel will share their experiences and wisdom for developing this mindset.
Moderator Susan Yamada is dedicated to fostering and mentoring startups. She is the Executive Director of the Pacific Asian Center for Entrepreneurship at the UH’s Shidler College of Business.

Mary Fasteneau is a Partner of Anthology Marketing Group and President of Digital Group. Her amazing team’s creative work plays on local and national stages.

Patrick Sullivan’s work in technology entrepreneurial groups spans 34 years. He founded Oceanit in 1985 and Hoana Medical, Inc.

Frieda Takaki, President and CEO of Chart Rehabilitation of Hawaii, and her fellow employees have been company owners since 2001 through their ESOP. A real Ohana!

May 17 – What’s The State of Real Estate in Our State?

In spite of our limited space for homes and commercial buildings, developers continue to develop, leasing agents continue to lease and families continue to seek their dream homes. What are the economic indicators that drive this expansion? When will the baby boomers flee the suburbs for downtown condos? Will there be high rises in Hawaii Kai? Will military bases fill housing shortages with low-rise condos? How will rail transit affect existing and planned developments?

Our May luncheon will feature a panel of knowledgeable real estate professionals, including Bob Bruhl from developer D.R. Horton, Steve Sofos from Sofos Realty and Sean Tadaki from Commercial Asset Advisors.

Bob Bruhl, Vice President. D.R. Horton-Schuler Division: D.R. Horton unveiled his first neighborhood in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area over three decades ago. Today, D.R.
